Product in pilot development

For foundations and associations

Sternik NGOGive your organisation's documents a place to belong.

We are developing Sternik NGO for teams that want to organise files, paper documents and information about people. Its v2 direction puts a document register at the centre. Discuss the current scope with us before considering a pilot.

We are developing a document-centered Sternik v2. A presentation establishes the capabilities currently available and a pilot scope suited to your organisation.

Product direction: from a file to useful information

  1. 01

    A document enters the register

A file or photo becomes the starting point for organising a matter. A paper original may still need its own physical archive.

  2. 02

    Add context and connections

Connect the document to details that help explain and find it. Information extracted from its contents still needs to be checked.

  3. 03

    The team returns to it

Authorised people look for information in the register. A pilot checks this workflow against the tasks of a particular organisation.

Organisation documents

Work that no longer has to be scattered.

01

Start with the document

The new product direction organises work around documents a team receives and creates, rather than starting with a catalogue of unrelated modules.

02

Keep information in context

A document and a person linked to it should not need separate spreadsheets. We are developing a register that helps a team understand the matter behind a file.

03

Start the pilot with your work

First, we learn how your team stores and finds information. The discussion and demonstration focus on those tasks rather than a promise of every possible feature.

Documents at the centre

Spend less time searching folders and binders

An agreement, letter or resolution needs a place, a description and a way to find it again. That is the foundation of the version under development. A presentation covers its current state and limitations.

  • A register for incoming and created documents
  • Intake of files and photos
  • Descriptions, search and connected information

Pilot scope

Begin with an actual organisational task

The pilot focuses on document work and information about people. Other areas are discussed separately. The older product description is not a list of features included in every implementation.

  • Documents as a shared reference point
  • Connections with staff and volunteers
  • An agreed scope and team roles

Which organisations would we like to hear from?

  • Small foundations managing team documents
  • Associations organising digital files and paper archives
  • Teams looking for information across several disconnected places

How to get started

  1. 1

    Choose a task to organise

Describe how a document reaches your organisation, who needs it and where they look for it later.

  2. 2

    See the current product

Walk through an example in a presentation. We distinguish available capabilities from possible future development.

  3. 3

    Agree a pilot

Define its scope, participants and terms together. Then agree how to work with your organisation's documents.

Questions about Sternik NGO

Is Sternik already a complete suite for every NGO task?

The current product is a document-centered pilot. A presentation covers its available capabilities and limitations, and helps establish whether that scope fits the tasks your organisation needs to carry out.

Can I immediately manage fees, grants and all organisational obligations?

We do not promise those areas in the current document pilot. The older landing page describes a broader direction. Before any decision, agree what your implementation will actually include.

Does Sternik replace an accountant or legal advice?

No. Organising documents is not full accounting and does not guarantee a correct interpretation of regulations. Work with the appropriate specialists on your organisation's accounts and obligations.

How do we join, and must we move the whole archive?

Start with a pilot discussion. We can agree an example workflow and the documents needed for it. There is no reason to move your whole archive before seeing the current product and agreeing the terms.
